What is OFSI?
OFSI, the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation, is the part of HM Treasury that implements and enforces UK financial sanctions, including for cryptoassets. Its July 2025 Cryptoassets Threat Assessment is one of the few official documents that explicitly defines direct and indirect exposure and sets a minimum hop depth for screening.
