An entity is different from a cluster and a label. A cluster is a group of addresses inferred to share a controller; a label is an attribute such as a service type or risk category. One address can have several candidate entities, so attribution has to settle on one before amounts are calculated, or the same funds get counted twice.

What is Entity?
In blockchain analytics, an entity is the real-world organization, service, or actor behind one or more addresses, such as an exchange, payment processor, mixer, or scam operation. Analysts attribute addresses to entities so that activity can be understood and screened at the level of who controls the funds, not one address at a time.
