Following chain hopping means linking the deposit on one chain to the matching release on another, usually through bridge contract events, swap records, or timing and amount correlation. Screening that stops at a chain boundary misses exposure that reappears elsewhere as a wrapped or native asset.

What is Chain hopping?
Chain hopping is moving funds across several blockchains in quick succession, using bridges, cross-chain swaps, or exchanges, to break the trail investigators follow on a single ledger. It is a common layering technique for hack proceeds and ransomware payments, because each move to a new chain requires another data source to follow.
