Triage is where most compliance hours go, because an alert usually says that something looks risky, not why. Alerts that arrive with the path, the risk source, the hop count, and the amount involved can be resolved faster and documented more consistently than a bare score.

What is Alert triage?
Alert triage is the first review of a compliance alert, the flag a screening or monitoring system raises when activity matches a rule or risk signal. The analyst decides whether the alert is a false positive to close, needs more investigation, or should be escalated toward a case, customer action, or suspicious activity report.
